ABOUT LPAD

There is so much to learn about starting and running a business, it is not surprising that so many businesses have trouble (that of all the start-ups every year only an X percentage gets to point Y). We all expect future doctors to learn their profession through years of formal study, yet we have expected business owners to learn everything by making mistakes.

The start-up that’s starting from scratch needs immense support to live up to its first year. That’s exactly where Launchpad comes in picture.

Launchpad is like a play-school for youthful (young) wanna-be entrepreneurs.

Play-school, because it’s a fun way of preparing & getting introduced to the all new business world.

Launchpad conducts a one-year long residential program ‘Take the Plunge’ on how to start, manage & run your own venture. We intend to choose some 40 passionate wanna-be entrepreneurs and help them convert their ideas into realty. We travel along with you on your entrepreneurial journey from passion-to-idea-to-company.

Our goal is to get you through the first phase. This usually means: get you to a point where you are confident enough with your venture and can visualize a viable future.

The idea for the institute began in January 2009 as a way to help entrepreneurs avoid common mistakes that lead to failure of a business.

Launchpad has been initiated & lead by (another young (age-wise also) entrepreneur) Mohit Bansal. Mohit is an entrepreneur with 5+ years of professional experience, all of which has been spent working with start-ups in varied sectors. He has a broad & varied set of experiences and expertise. His philosophy is “If it isn’t fun, don’t do it!”.

Mohit is an MBA in IT from Symbiosis Center for Information Technology (Pune).

Mohit loves reading books & brain-storming on topics ranging from entrepreneurship to following passions & beliefs to religions with anyone who is interested.
